ซูเปอร์แมน ถือกำเนิดบนดาวเคราะห์ซึ่งดับสูญไปนานแล้ว ถูกเลี้ยงดูให้โตขึ้นมาโดยพ่อแม่บุญธรรมในฟาร์มของตระกูลเคนท์ในเมืองแคนซัส เด็กชายตัวน้อย คาลเอล ได้ถูกเปลี่ยนชื่อใหม่เป็น คล้าก เคนท์ และถึงแม้ว่าเขาจะโตขึ้นมาท่ามกลางมนุษย์ธรรมดา เขาก็ไม่ได้เป็นหนึ่งในพวกนั้น ภายใต้พระอาทิตย์สีเหลืองของโลกใบนี้ เขาสามารถทำหลายสิ่งหลายอย่างที่มนุษย์ปุถุชนได้แต่ฝัน แต่ในการที่จะอยู่ร่วมกับพวกมนุษย์นั้นเขาจะต้องอยู่อย่างคนสองชีวิต โดยเป็นคล้าก เคนท์ที่นุ่มนวลและถ่อมตนซึ่งจะแปลงร่างอย่างลับ ๆ เป็นมนุษย์เหล็กเมื่อโลกต้องการความช่วยเหลือ

ซูเปอร์แมนกลับมาอีกครั้ง และศัตรูครั้งนี้คือ เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์อัจฉริยะที่สร้างขึ้นโดยกัส กอร์แมน (Richard Pryor) มันต้องการจะครองโลกทั้งใบ เขาก็ต้องหยุดมันล่ะครับหนังภาคนี้การ์ตูนไปแบบสุดๆ การเดินเรื่องก็เรื่อยๆ แต่หนังไม่โดดเด่นเท่า 2 ภาคแรกอีกแล้วครับ ถ้าไม่ได้ฝีมือการแสดงเยี่ยมๆของ Christopher Reeve ช่วยไว้ล่ะก็หนังคงเละไปกว่านี้แน่ๆ แม้ Effect จะดีก็ตาม ภาคนี้ Richard Lester กำกับเองแบบเต็มๆ แล้วครับ แต่ผลออกมากลับไม่ค่อยก็เท่าไหร่เลย แม้เนื้อเรื่องจะมีอะไรมากก็ตาม แต่การนำเสนอกลับไม่ราบรื่นอย่างที่ควรจะเป็น ลูกเล่นน้อยครับ ค่อนข้างห่างชั้นกับ 2 ภาคแรกอยู่หลายช่วงตัวทีเดียวความสำคัญอีกอย่างของภาคนี้คือ หนังได้เปิดตัว ลาน่า แลงก์ (Annette O'Toole) หวานใจวัยเรียนของคลาร์ค เคนท์ ซึ่งกำลังประสบปัญหาครอบครัวอย่างหนัก เลยหลายมาเป็นอีกปมหนึ่งในภาคนี้หนังยังพอดูได้ครับ โอเคน่ะ แต่ห้ามคาดหวังอะไรเด็ดขาด แล้วคุณจะคิดว่าหนังพอดูได้ สองดาวกว่าๆครับ
