ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้เป็นการรีบูตเรื่องราวขึ้นมาใหม่ เนื้อเรื่องจึงจะกล่าวย้อนไปถึง หวงเฟยหง ซึ่งเป็นลูกชายอาจารย์หวงที่เป็นเจ้าของร้านขายยาเป่าจือหลินที่มีชื่อเสียงโด่งดังในประเทศจีน ได้ฝึกวิชาหมัดเมาที่เลื่องลือ และได้ประลองวิชากังฟูกับชาวต่างชาติจนสามารถสยบศิลปะการต่อสู้ของชาวต่างชาติได้
